Mariya brings nearly a decade of mental health experience to Los Gatos Therapy Center. She completed a Bachelors in Psychology and a Master in Counseling from Santa Clara University.

Mariya specializes in treatment of mental health disorders in children and adolescents as well as adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and low self-esteem. She is experienced in variety of psychotherapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

She has extensive experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or developmental disabilities who also present with a qualifying mental health diagnosis. Additionally, Mariya specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults struggling with symptoms of depression, worry, social anxiety, relationship issues, and low self-esteem.

Mariya draws from several evidence-based modalities, in particular she draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a modality that focuses on finding solutions for problems that are in the “here and now.” Mariya practices and receives ongoing training in an advanced and innovative type of CBT model, T.E.A.M CBT, created by Dr. David Burns.

Mariya was born in Moscow, Russia and immigrated to the United States at the age of 3. She is a native Russian speaker and practices within a culturally sensitive framework.
