Bruce M. Wermuth, M.D.
Dr. Wermuth has been practicing psychiatry for almost 40 years and has served as in various leadership roles in community agencies. He has been published several times over for his research in the field of mental health.
Dr. Bruce Wermuth attended Yale University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in psychology. He received additional training as a Psychopharmacology Research Fellow at Stanford and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry through the Child, Adolescent Fellowship Program at Stanford University.
Dr. Wermuth believes in a compassionate, person-centered approach to patient care. He began his private practice work with children, families, and adults in 1979. That same practice has now grown under his clinical leadership to include several physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists who share the same vision to facilitate hope and healing in their patient’s lives.
Dr. Wermuth’s is experienced in treating depressive disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for treatment resistant depression, and integrative psychiatry. He believes that in treating a patient you must treat the whole person including evaluating their relational, psychosocial, physical, and mental health. Dr. Wermuth’s drive to help others inspired his career in mental health, a passion that grew during his time as a psychology major and through his medical school experience. Dr. Wermuth enjoys getting to know his patients on a personal level and seeing them reach their goals to live happy, healthy lives.
